So much is happening right now that even I am finding it so hard to keep up with!!

Fresh off the “Outlaws & Outsiders Tour” in January/February where we went across western Canada playing 18 shows in 21 days.  From Victoria, BC all the way out to Winnipeg, MB through some intense weather on a bus loaded with 12 of us.  It was an awesome experience and I look forward to the Ontario leg coming up in June so watch for dates.  And, if you’re in the area then you better drop by!

Following the tour it was right into the studio to work on production for a new act called King & Cash, the opening act for the previously mentioned tour.  Who are they, you ask?  Well, it just so happens to be my son, Jordan Pritchett, and his buddy, Dan Arnold’s new act.  A duo that is going to be a very big deal in the very near future, by the way! Watch for their first single out in May called “Beer For That”, produced by phenom producer Jeff Johnson.  And I’m honoured to say that I was able to put my two cents in for production as well!

Since then I have done a couple of shows here and there but more than anything I have played a lot of hockey.  I am a very proud member of the Vancouver Canucks Alumni hockey team and did some charity events with them including a game with the Canadian Blind Hockey team members.  What an incredible experience to play with these folks and, before we played that day, most of us Alumni members were unaware there even was a team.  They are a great group of people and played quite well!  Another event for the Canucks Alumni is coming up on May 19th called the “Canucks Alumni Golf Classic” being held at Northview Golf & Country Club.  Prior to the golf tourney, there is also going to be a concert at the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, BC on May 17th so be sure to get your tickets, meet the players and other local celebrities but more importantly raise some money for two great charities- theRoyal Columbian Hospital Foundation and the B.C. Hockey Benevolent Society.

More hockey the last couple months for me because I also play on another team in Nanaimo, BC called the Pylons.  Yes, the Pylons!  We are a group of gents from the area made up of doctors and police… and me.  Smart and tough men who have my back on the ice but ones as well that could patch me up if needed!  Our season is now done but it was a great way to end as we beat the top two teams handily to end the regular season, as well as we made the final in the year-ending tournament where we lost in a shootout.  Playing along side those guys was great and can’t wait for my 2nd season with them starting next September!

The biggest news I have currently is that I am releasing a new album!!  It’s a new record, alright, but it’s full of songs that hopefully you all know already.  It’s a greatest hits album called “Body Of Work: A Collection of Hits by Aaron Pritchett” and is going to be released on May 12th for the world to purchase either in stores like HMV and Walmart, online on iTunes or at one of my upcoming shows!  To say that it seems surreal that I have a greatest hits record coming out already in my life is an understatement.  It honestly feels like it was just yesterday that I started this career in music but it’s been over 20 years now.  Thank you to the fans for supporting me and allowing me to create and sustain a life in music and thanks to the world of radio in Canada for throwing your support behind me for all these years.  I hope you all go and buy a copy and CRANK IT UP LOUD!!

Now, as we wait for “Body Of Work” to be released, I have so much more to think about.  Like all the writing I need to start doing because there are plans being made now of recording a new record to come out next year.  It will be my 7th album so keep a look out for it in mid-2016!

Me and the boys

Time to go for a run again and get my health on!  As it’s said, “a healthy body breeds a healthy mind”.  My motto that I say to myself, and I hashtag it on social media, is #PushOn.  When you feel like there’s no energy left in you, dig deep and PUSH ON.  Even for a minute.  You don’t have to go an extra mile, just an extra minute each time to get that result you’re looking for!

Cheers!
